Speed Dials
Note: This page is not applicable to Service Cloud Voice.
The Speed Dials page in the Admin App allows you to create and customize 10 speed dial buttons. When clicked in InGenius, a speed dial button dials out to a specified phone number.
Speed dials created on this page appear in the InGenius application when changes are published. By default, all speed dials are blank and hidden from end-users.

The title (or name) of a speed dial appears in the InGenius application when hovering over a speed dial button with the mouse.
To change a speed dial title:
- Select the speed dial from the left side of the page.
- Type the desired name in the Title field.
Note: There is a limit of 100 characters for speed dial titles.

To change the phone number dialed out for a speed dial:
- Type a number in the Number field.

A number icon next to a speed dial indicates the speed dial is visible to users:
An "eye" icon with a line crossed through indicates the speed dial is not visible to users:
Note: By default, all speed dials are blank and hidden from users.
To hide an existing speed dial:
- Select the corresponding number icon
for the speed dial you want to hide. Select Yes when prompted. This removes the speed dial information and hides the speed dial for users.
- Select the speed dial profile, then select
on the right side of the page. Select Yes when prompted. This removes the speed dial information and hides the speed dial for users.

Note: Hiding a speed dial deletes the information in the Title and Number field. A message appears to confirm deletion when hiding a speed dial.
Note: A speed dial without a number cannot be made visible to users.

A "locked" icon next to a speed dial profile indicates the user cannot edit the speed dial.
An "unlocked" icon indicates the user can edit a visible speed dial.
To toggle whether the user can or cannot edit the speed dial:
- Select the lock icon displayed next to a speed dial profile.
- Highlight the speed dial profile, then select either

on the right side of the page. The button text is determined by the current state of the override on the speed dial.
